AMPSEA and STWS - Sports Tech World Series agree partnership for Australia Sports Innovation Week

The Australian Mass Participation Sporting Events Alliance (AMPSEA) has announced a collaboration with the upcoming Australia Sports Innovation Week (ASIW) with the aim of enhance the positive impact of mass participation sports events on various aspects such as the economy, employment, and volunteerism along with the social, physical and mental wellbeing of Australians and local communities.
Announcing the partnership, AMPSEA Chair, Chris Heverin stated “the economic contribution from the sector is significant at $1.1 billion per annum, with $70 million raised for charity.
“As a united collective of event operators, we continually strive for excellence to ensure innovation is front of mind when planning the 21,000 events annually.
“We view this partnership and platform with STWS valuable to amplify the awareness further across the sporting and events ecosystem.”
ASIW is the Southern Hemisphere's largest sports innovation and technology event, bringing together conferences, exhibitions and networking opportunities for the sport, media and live event industries.
Running in 2025 from Tuesday 28th to Friday 31st October, it is co-organised by Sports Tech World Series (STWS) and Invest Victoria, it features the Australia and New Zealand Sports Technology Awards (ANZSTA), Australia Sports Tech Conference and Content Live event.
The Australia Sports Tech Conference is being held on Wednesday 29th October 2025 at the MCG.
